We love food at Retiro Park lodge, and provide guests with a delicious gourmet breakfast each morning using the best local produce, as well as from our own vegetable garden: freshly squeezed juice and fruit, muffins straight from the oven, local smoked salmon, free range bacon, eggs from our chicken coop…
Having dinner with your hosts at Retiro Park Lodge: In a relaxed party-like atmosphere, for a delicious three course dinner featuring the best of the seasonal local produce and matching wines: It might be steamed open Marlborough Sounds mussels, or baby spinach and blue cheese salad followed by the finest lamb cutlets, or fresh Tasman Bay fish and seafood followed by a Kaffir lime creme brulee or a vanilla pannacotta…
The price for dinner is NZ$75 per person, and notice is required. As there is a fifteen minute drive from the lodge to Nelson City, we would recommend that after a long day’s travel you reserve dinner for that first night at the time of your booking (under guests request in the on-line reservation form). It is also possible to arrange dinner in the morning before you leave for a busy day exploring beautiful Nelson.
Alternatively, the Nelson region is well known for its excellent produce and is well catered with good restaurants for the hungry traveller: We will be more than happy to make the reservation or direct you to an excellent restaurant.
